Special Technical Requirements
The construction services were executed under exceptionally demanding technical and logistical conditions. The work area was located directly above an active urban commuter rail (S-Bahn) line. The existing ceiling had a thickness of only approx. 20 cm and was permitted to bear a maximum allowable live load of 500 kg/m².
For this reason, all dismantling, gutting, pollutant remediation, and demolition work, as well as the entire site logistics, had to be planned and executed in strict compliance with the permissible ceiling load limits. This particularly encompassed material handling, intermediate storage, container logistics, load distribution, and the deployment of appropriate working and transport equipment. Throughout the entire construction period, the structural safety of the building and the safe operation of the underlying S-Bahn line had to be guaranteed at all times.
